Full Metal vs. Hybrid Cards: What's the Difference?
Explaining the construction of different luxury cards. Why some are heavy steel and others are light composites.

Not all "Metal" cards are the same. In the industry, there are two main categories.
1. Full Metal (Solid)
What we sell. This is a solid slab of Stainless Steel.
Pros: Maximum weight (25g+), maximum durability, premium feel.
Cons: Blocks Contactless payment (RFID).
2. Hybrid (Veneer)
What banks usually issue. This is a thin layer of metal glued to a plastic back.
Pros: Contactless works perfectly because the signal passes through the plastic half.
Cons: Much lighter (12-15g). The layers often delaminate (peel apart) after a year of use.
Why we choose Full Metal
We believe if you are going metal, go metal. We prefer the heavy, solid reliability of steel over a flimsy hybrid, even if it means using your phone for contactless payments.
