Help! My Chip Is Loose or Not Working

You finished your DIY kit, but a week later, the chip feels loose, or the machine isn't reading it. Don't worry—this is common and easily fixed.

Problem 1: The Chip Fell Out

The Fix: This usually means the back of the chip wasn't clean enough before gluing.
1. Clean the back of the chip and the metal slot with acetone/alcohol.
2. Use a tiny drop of Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate).
3. Crucial: Press down firmly for 60 seconds. The pressure activates the bond.

Problem 2: "Card Read Error"

The Fix: 99% of the time, this is just glue residue on the front of the chip.
Take an alcohol wipe and scrub the gold contacts of the chip vigorously. Even a microscopic layer of dried glue can block the electrical connection.
